The good news is actually good! And Benjamin Dunn’s book will leave you with absolutely no doubt about it.

I had listened to Ben Dunn on podcast, and enjoyed and fed from his unquestionably ‘happy’ preaching and teaching. So when my son gave me a copy of The Happy Gospel for Christmas, I was … well … very happy!

This book, like it’s author, is a huge breath of fresh air! The book describes the simplicity and the joyousness that is missing from the lives of so many Christian live’s and churches.

Tons of scriptures, lots of great quotes -  plenty to sink your teeth into. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a life that’s strongly anchored in the simple and joyous truths of the cross and the amazing union with have with God through Jesus. The author brings definitions to all of those Christian words that are thrown around (e.g. sanctification, flesh).

There is a fresh Holy Spirit emphasis today concerning Jesus and his finished work - consider these chapter titles:

“The Glad-Message of The Happy God”

“New Creation Realities”

“It’s A Scandal”

“Too Good To Be True?”

The Language, Madness & Mysticism of St. Paul”

“Effortless Christianity”

“The Happy Christian”

And I’m not alone in enjoying The Happy Gospel – Ben Dunn’s book carries endorsements from Georgian and Winnie Banov, Jeff Jansen, Beni Johnson, Heidi Baker . . . and one pastor writes “Ben Dunn is the real deal and his book, "The Happy Gospel" is a game changer if you are tired of dead dry church. I am a pastor of a church of 1,000+ people with 4 campuses and would recommend "The Happy Gospel" to be a Sunday School study, Wednesday night Bible Study or even as a textbook in your school!! 5 Stars is not enough.”

PS. It's also refreshing to find a book that's not printed on cheap newsprint - it is beautifully designed and printed.
