Release Your Anointing Study Guide - Tapping the Power of the Holy Spirit in You
by T.D. Jakes
Destiny Image Publishers – 2008
One of the best things about this new work from T.D. Jakes is the Study Guide! Of course the book is excellent. You see him on television, you read his books, you listen to him pray . . . and you always see the anointing on his life. Now in this book, T.D. Jakes shares the principles he lives by and shows you how to live in the anointing.
The chapter headings sound like a preacher’s sermon titles:
1. Power for Living
2. Ask, Seek, Knock
3. Tongues of Fire and the Refiner’s Fire
4. Secret Code
5. The Influence of the Holy Spirit in the World
6. The Cry of a Barren Womb
7. Reviving What Remains
8. God’s Layaway Plan
But why not! This man is a prince of preachers, and undoubtedly these chapters started their life as yet another powerful Jakes message to his Dallas, Texas, church.
Inside these chapters the Bishop keeps it simple: “We all desperately need the anointing to succeed in everything”, “The Holy Ghost knows better than we do”, “The Holy Ghost is always with us, leading us, prompting us”, “Yielding to the power of the Holy Ghost launches us toward our potential and destiny”.
It occurred to me that in these days of “extreme” experience, and oft reported stories of amazing moves of the Holy Spirit, that’s it’s possible to be caught up in experience and by-pass the strong truths of the Word that become a foundation for a consistent life of over-flowing anointing, whether in a season of refreshing or not. For this cause, Release Your Anointing with the Study Guide is an awesome tool for the pastor and his church. From individuals to small groups, this is as solid as it is releasing.
Filled with foundational Scripture references, thought-provoking questions, and meditation thoughts, each page of the study guide uncovers the beauty of God's love for us, and unveils His design for our destiny.
